How do I fix Smile Lines?

Jun 20,2019

What causes smile lines?

Smile lines or laugh lines appear around the nose and mouth. Nasolabial folds, as they are more formally known as, appear due to a combination of repetitive movements, sagging skin and loss of structural proteins in the skin. As we age the loss of proteins such as collagen causes the skin to lose structure and encourages the downwards movement of fat and skin in the face. Coupled with repeated smiling movements, this enforces and defines the appearance of these wrinkles and folds.

Why choose Silhouette Soft®?

Silhouette Soft utilises unique, bidirectional cone technology to reposition ptosis (sagging) of the skin and tissues in the face, caused by the different mechanisms of ageing. This includes the loss of protein structures like collagen and elastin, and the repositioning of fat and skin.

As shown in the illustration above, positioning Silhouette Soft in the midface, the sutures placed in the smile lines will reposition the large fat pad (blue).

By repositioning the tissue above the smile lines, it will reduce their visibility.

As the treatment occurs, once the sutures have been inserted, the physician will gently pull the skin along the suture to tighten the skin. This provides immediate, subtle and natural-looking results for a rejuvenated and refreshed you.

Silhouette Soft treatments provide long-lasting and natural-looking results that will continue to improve over time. Silhouette Soft helps induces a biological response that produces collagen, providing support and elasticity to the skin. The collagen produced around the cones will stay after Silhouette Soft has been resorbed for long-lasting results.
