How to treat Marionette Lines?

May 14,2019

What causes Marionette Lines?

Marionette lines are wrinkles or folds that run vertically down form the corners of the mouth to the chin, creating a frowning appearance. As we age, we lose structural proteins such as collagen, in our skin is involved with the downwards movement of skin and fat in the face. Combined with repetitive muscle movements in the face, these creases become exaggerated and have a more defined appearance.

Why choose Silhouette Soft®?

Silhouette Soft is an advanced thread lift, using bidirectional cones to reposition ptosis (sagging) of the skin in the midface and along the jawline. By positioning Silhouette Soft in the midface, it can be used to reposition the skin, reducing visibility of the marionette lines

As shown in the illustration above, positioning Silhouette Soft in the midface, the suture placed in the Marionette Line will reposition the fat pad (blue).

By repositioning the tissue above the marionette lines, it will reduce their visibility.

As the treatment occurs, once the sutures have been inserted, the physician will gently pull the skin along the suture to tighten the skin. This provides immediate, subtle and natural looking results for a rejuvenated and refreshed you.

Soft provides long-term results through the stimulation of collagen production around the suture and cone structures. This collagen production will provide long-lasting results that continue to improve with time, even when Silhouette Soft have been resorbed.
